Organizing Fellowship:
Time Commitment: 20 hours/week, September 14th to December 13th.
Location: Remote, preferred in Iowa, Missouri, North Carolina or Texas

Fellowship Overview: Action Corps is looking for a fellow interested in gaining skills in advocacy, organizing, communications, and foreign policy. Fall 2026 organizing fellows will focus on the campaign for a permanent end to the war against Iran.
Candidates should be willing to ask others for commitments to action, including cold calling and follow-ups. Candidates should have strong skills in written communication and basic knowledge of platforms such as Google Suite and Zoom. Candidates should be able to manage their own goal-setting and follow-through. We are looking for individuals with a collaborative spirit and the ability to work in a bipartisan fashion. They should have a personal interest in campaigning or community organizing, humanitarianism, and/or global justice.
Core Skills to be developed throughout the fellowship:
- Advocacy
- Strategic and effective outreach to elected officials and staff.
- Conducting advocacy meetings and awareness-raising activities.
- Organizing
- Finding community partners in specific constituencies and developing relationships.
- Helping in facilitation and logistics of meetings to engage volunteers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Communications
- Creating a unified message across a campaign, in sync with the overall goals of the organization.
- Consistently posting campaign messaging on multiple platforms, tailored to multiple audiences.
- Foreign Policy
- Analyzing policy materials from allies and assessing their fit with Action Corps campaigns.
- Creating communications and educational materials based on policy stances to incorporate into advocacy and organizing work.
Goals:
- Have 5 letters to the editor and/or op-eds published in local papers from five different constituents.
- Secure and participate in 5 meetings with congressional offices.
- Contribute weekly to social media pages, monthly to the website.
- Create a database of state-specific partner organizations for outreach, including organizations representing veterans, faith, humanitarian, libertarian, progressive, and peace constituencies. Document collaboration with 3 or more of these groups such as their signature on sign-on letter or their participation in a call with a congressional office.
- Plan and facilitate 3 action-oriented video calls and/or meetings, including recruiting attendees and preparing/executing a specific advocacy action.

Action Corps Communications Fellowship
Time Commitment: 10 hours/week, September 14th, 2026 – April 30th, 2027

Fellowship Overview: Action Corps is looking for a fellow with an interest in developing storytelling skills to assist with: streamlining our organizational and campaign communications, improving our website user experience, and telling our organizing success story in our annual report. A strong candidate follows and cares about humanitarian issues, is familiar with a wide range of communication platforms, and brings an engaged, positive, and detail-oriented energy to work. Proficiency with Google Suite, Zoom, Canva, and WordPress is preferred.
Candidates should have strong written communication skills and be able to manage their own goal-setting and follow-through. We are looking for individuals with a collaborative spirit and the ability to work in a bipartisan fashion. They should have a personal interest in campaigning or community organizing, humanitarianism, and/or global justice.
The Ideal Candidate is:
A student of marketing, public relations, communications, communication design, or a related field, or
A recent college or master’s-level graduate with coursework completed in one of the above-named fields
Core Skills to be developed throughout the fellowship:
-Building a consistent narrative across digital and print platforms, including how Action Corps talks about itself and describes the work for a permanent end to the war against Iran
-The creation and execution of social media campaigns, including learning different programs, tools, and platforms, drafting copy, creating basic graphics, developing content plans/calendars, setting up targeting, and compiling analytics for reporting
– Track and report on media placements, social/digital media campaign performance, and other campaign outcomes.
– Draft and edit public-facing communications materials, including press releases, mass emails, and the Action Corps annual report.
